FPT University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Covenant Polytechnic Aba – Nigeria
On October 26th 2015, a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was officiated at FPT University to facilitate the cooperation between FPT University and Covenant Polytechnic Aba, a private polytechnic in Nigeria.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Iyke Nwoke – The chairman of the Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State in Nigeria and Mr. Phan Phuong Dat – Vice Rector of FPT University. It was witnessed by Sir Sanusi Yahaya Yakubu – The Charge d’ Affaires A.I. of Nigerian Embassy in Hanoi, Mr. Le Ha Duc – President of FPT University Global Office, and other members from FPT University Global Office.

After establishing this collaboration, FPT University and Covenant Polytechnic Aba will work on the process of establishing an oversea education centre called "FPT Pathway Covenant Centre" in Abia State, Nigeria. Under the signed MoU, the center will be staffed and operated by Covenant Polytechnic Aba while FPT University will be responsible for training teaching and non-teaching staffs as well as providing academic content of the programs. There are 3 programs including International Software Engineers; Top-up to MSE (Master of Software Engineering); and Foundation for MSE will be offered to Nigerian students by the Centre.
As stated by Mr. Iyke Nwoke – Representative of Covenant Polytechnic Aba “The bilateral relationship between FPT University and Covenant Polytechnic Aba will open up an opportunity for students of Covenant Polytechnics in particular and Nigerian students in general to approach the modern technology and specialized knowledge.”

The collaboration with Covenant Polytechnic Aba is a significant move of FPT University in accordance with internationalization strategy of FPT Corporation. It is an action of asserting the FPT brand on oversea markets, especially, in Nigeria.
